Bemidji, MN, April 14, 2015 – Bemidji Area Toastmasters announces, member, Kim Nagle as winner of the local Club international speech and evaluation contests on February 25th. Kim went on to become 1st place champion in both categories at the Area 41 Toastmasters contest that took place in Grand Forks, ND on March 28, 2015. Kim’s speech was titled, Complicated Lives. She will complete next at the division level in Fargo, ND on April 18, 2015. Kim says, “Competing is a way for all Toastmasters to step out of their comfort zone and further hone their skills.” Speech contests are a Toastmasters tradition. Each year thousands of Toastmasters around the world compete in the Humorous, Evaluation, Tall Tales, Table Topics and International speech contests. Competition begins with club contests and winners continue competing through the area, division and district levels. The International competition has two additional levels — semifinal and the World Championship of Public Speaking. |
